It looks like Paul needs to organize a weenie roast for youse guys.Seafood is fine if you know which fish are bottom feeding scavengers and likely to be full of worms. (Not bait worms, worms in the flesh.) Enjoy yourself. I fail to have the desire to get in one of those flying sardine cans lined with reject theatre and bus seats, be searched by minimum wage workers, and be threatened with life in jail if I accidently mention a dessert consisting of two or more layers of variously flavored ice cream frozen in a round or melon-shaped mold. If dubya wants me to get back on a plane he can stop with the hinky terrorizing of passengers for nail files, and make it illegal for planes to sit loaded and sealed on the tarmac for more than 20 minutes. Many years ago, in the days of DC-3s and DC-6s, I used to love to fly. Today I consider commercial flight as one of the tortures of modern society. (No offense meant to our resident pilots.)

I'll put in a small vote for the Mirage buffet. The Mirage is my favorite hotel on the strip. But, in truth, I'll go where the crowd is going for the Film-Tech stuff on Wednesday.Speaking of which, where is the Film-Tech drink?: Do we have a time and room yet? I take it the Bourbon Street Inn is no longer on the itenery. Steve ------------------

I'll put my 2 cents in for suggestions for food. Unfortunately, much as I would like to meet many of you, I will be probably be working the floor at ShoWest.
As I am a local now, this is what I hear and know that are good and not so good places to eat...
1. Everybody tells me, hands down, Rio is the place for the buffet.
2. As much as I love Caesars Palace, their buffet is EXTREMELY over priced and bland. My wife hated it. They do however, have some really ritzy places in the Forum. Wolfgang Puck has a place there, Spagos, The Cheesecake Factory (drool).
3. The buffet at Sunset Station off of 93/95 in Henderson and Green Valley Ranch off of 215 in Henderson is pretty damn good and at a reasonable rate. Green Valley is where my new theatre is at. Historical note...that section of I215 is where the chase of Lethal Weapon 4 was shot.
4. Sam's Town buffet is cheap , but not bad. It ain't great, but you should be able to hold it down. The steak place there is pretty damn good however.
5. Stay away from the Stratasphere. That stench that Brad was talking about is very strong there.
6. The Bellagio...one of the best. Period.
7. The Peppermill near the Riviera is awsome. They have that classic Vegas feel to it as well. Feels like the Rat Pack could walk in anytime.
8. Riviera...sux.
9. I know I am going to get flamed for this one. I just love the Denny's on the strip across from the Mirage. Call me a glutton for punishment...
10. Boardwalk Casino buffet made me violently ill. I did not know which end to stick at the toilet.
11. Carroways on the stip is cozy and pretty decent. A classier version of Denny's.
12. Harley Davidson Cafe is so damn expensive but it is so damn good.
13. ESPN Zone just opened up last year during the summer. My brother said it was decent but costly.
14. The buffet at Excalibur is decent.
15. I have not heard anything about the buffet at the Paris, but everytime I pass it, it has that funky fishy stench. Note to Brad...avoid.I could probably go on but I won't. If anybody wants some research done, it won't take much convincing to to get my wife and baby to get out of the house and try something if I have the time. Just let me know.

Well Bob...and everyone...Speaking of eating fish in Vegas.... My parents went on vacation to Vegas in the mid 1970's when Vegas was still Vegas....and I was still a tyke... Anyhow, we go to eat breakfeast in a restraunt. Into the restraunt comes this prostitute with some of the nicest ta-ta's you have ever seen...wearing nothing but a totally see through top with no bra....  Anyhow, this woman proceeds to sit next to us. My Dad and I were transfixed...and my Mom was totally embarrassed and kept trying to cover my eyes! That is my real fish story...and I'm sticking to it!

Mark,Are you sure they were sea _ _ _ _roaches and not just plain.  Paul, I beat you by 10 months. Everyone else.......Run for your lives do not eat food that swims.
Much better if it Moo's. If you did by "Chance" ( not you Jerry) gargle twice go to bed for a month. Then get up and call you neighbor. If they answer the phone hang up. Repeat above and try again until no one answers. Will, Please send me that ladies number, I need to speak with her tonight.
