You seafood haters have obviously never had the deep fried shrimp at the Windmill Club in Billings Montana. They are like no other shrimp I've ever had...mmmmmmmgoood. And their steaks are even better, and the ribs are even better than the steaks.

Please, no goofy "Montana is too far from the ocean to have good shrimp" remarks...we've heard them all!

The Cows, Cats, Horses, and Hamsters and Gilas all drink from those lakses and streams! You get molocules of sea roaches no matter what you eat! I bet now you'll never eat again. That way there's more for us to eat.

Heya Bob! Had a really great sushi dinner tonight. It was "cooked" just right....RAW! I thought I might try the raved about "creamofsomeyoungguy", but Gordon talked me out of it...for now. Need to figure out "exactly" what it is..... Looking forward to seeing you at ShoWest, I'll get the 2nd round of Martinis if you get the 1st...

I myself would love to at least come down to a film tech gathering, even if I may not be able to afford the showest convention itself. My being without employer at the moment kind of prevents my wanting to shell out the three hundred bucks right now.

I can see maybe taking a stroll over for a few days to hang with the cool kids.

Reserve an inexpensive hotel room.

Drive on down.

Find a sympathetic exhibitor on the trade show that will front you a $75 trade show pass.

Ive been reading this board for over a year and a half. I post very infrequently. But, Im going to Las Vegas on my own dime during Showwest. Ill be getting a pass to the trade show from either American Cinema Equipment or Component Engineering. I would really like to know where you guys are going to meet! I want to meet the people behind the posts. Besides, it looks like a drunken good time. I work for Landmark Theatres in Seattle. Im also the business rep for projectionists for IATSE Local 15 in Seattle. I sure hope to see you all there! Brian

For those interested, I will be working one of the registraion counters Wednesday morning from 7:30am to 2pm. I have already worked this last Friday doing the goodie bag stuffing. That was alot of fun. See everybody there...

I stuffed them with little bottles of Film-Guard...not. Actually, I had the pleasure of putting little rulers and candles in the bags. Strange. The items themselves had nothing to do with the industry...just the logos on them.
