After further thought, I took your box office gross figure as a hint about the last quote about fetching sticks and posted a response.

At any rate, you would have to acknowledge there is a good amount of quotes coming from cult films few have seen, dreadful big budget bombs and other trashy shows many would have only seen significant bits of only by accident while flipping through cable channels in the wee hours of the morning. However, I do have sympathy for any projectionist who must sit through a really terrible movie to verify the print is okay (but even in that case, there are ways to "ease your pain", hehe).

Some examples I might include as being "obscure" are:
Transformers: The Movie
Bushwacked
Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man
Remo Williams (aka, the Adventure Ended before it began)
Tank Girl
Johnny Mnemonic (shoulda been Johnny Pneumonia)
Band of the Hand
Blood Diner
Smurfs and the Magic Flute (???)

Sure, these movies (and others I didn't list) have played in theaters after 1980. But how many people really watch shows like that and remember the quotes? I could easily pull out some mid 1980's film no one remembers and try to corner the contest. But that wouldn't be very fun. To me, it seems a little more fun to stump someone on a film like "Insomnia" so they think to themselves "I should have known that, damn!"

Aw hell, to be fair, I did post a quote from "Mystery Men!"
