My girlfriend wanted a pair of pants off of a manequin at JC Penny the other day, and the girl working in the area told me to go ahead and take them off. I still feel really wierd about undressing a manequin and leaving her there with only a t-shirt on and her barbie-like nudeness from the waist down exposed for the world to see. [Eek!]

I'm not sure anyone could top this.

This guy gets fired from Walmart for doing something he didn't do so he gets back at them.

Funny story, though it reads like it's been embellished--the revenge is a little too good. Still, it's immensely satisfying to read about fucking with the single-helix types, especially when they're your former bosses. [Big Grin]

Nope.. not to just a plain old WM mannequin anyway.. has to be a special mannequin, as evidenced by the photo.. LOL..

One of the ASDA (Walmart) stores up north has switched to using a local dialect rather than English. (Although since many of their customers find it difficult to construct a coherent sentence it may be a waste of time)

"Welcome to Asda" has been changed to "Come Awa In", while "Always Happy to Help" and "Always Low Prices" have been translated into "Wid Aye Gie Ye a Han" and "Easy on the Pooch".

Even the toilets in the store have been given a regional twist, with the ladies labelled as "Quines".

On leaving the store a sign also reads "Hist ye Back" - meaning "Come Again Soon".

The Doric signs were translated by the Buchan Heritage Society.

Store manager Craig Patterson said: "We hope our decision to introduce the Doric signs will give the dialect a real boost."
