My sympathies go out to those affected by the storm. Regarding CFLs, Phil, the problem is with the dorks that use the "straight" CFLs in cans. If they had used the type with the coiled tube or the ones enclosed in a glass outer bulb, that wouldn't be a problem. Newer ones are so compact they even fit in small spotlight-style fixtures. OTOH, they are a pain to use with motion detector switches... (I do say that having had both gallstones and kidney stones, the later of which many doctors and women have told me replicate the pains of child birth. Cloudy thus every day is a good movie day! Oh and the tungsten vs Flourscent was a trick question...tungsten is the only correct answer...Flourescent is just plain the wrong color. I used to work for an audio servcie center in which we were authorized service for both those brands. The A77 was hands down the better deck with far better electronics and a Pabst outer rotor drive motor.
