Next, you would take your hands OUT of range of the sensor then, after the unit resets, retrigger it to get some soap and, again, wait for the water so you can rinse off. That seems like a hell of a lot of work just to wash your hands but, what the hell! If you do, it should be a minimum of 6 ft/2 meters from the toilet due to the fine mist that comes from it when flushed.
