Ken,
I don't specifically remember those breadboards or transmitter. I was a full-time day student... I worked after classes at WXYZ-TV and WLDM-FM. I do remember the screened room. I have 7 "precious" memories of LIT:

1) My Physics instructor... A Hungarian (Mr. Ernaman?) guy that used to always say "cent-ta-pedal" when he meant "centripetal" force. (It took me 3 weeks to figure that one out!) [Smile]

2) Mr. Knowles, my chemistry/physics instructor that was demonstrating static electricity by stroking a very old rabbit pelt on a big black plastic rod. When it shed and the hairs stuck to the rod his comment was: "Look at my hairy black rod"! Of course we all laughed at his naive comment! Hahahahaha

3) Many hours of Fortran programming on the IBM 1620 (I think that was the one)

4) My HATRED of calculus!

5) My being president of the Ham Radio Club and building up the membership and equipment and working "Field Day".

6) My putting on film shows at lunchtime for the whole school using my own equipment.

7) My selling the winning ticket for the grand prize...a car... for the LIT fair.

BTW: At the risk of pissing off Manny, my film degree is from UCLA...

I feel old, too.... I used the same punch cards for BASIC programming. Had to wait my turn to have the cards loaded, the program run, and results returned. Turn-around time was three days, so if you made a dumb mistake, you found out three days later. I remember how happy I was when we got 'modern' ACSII -paper tape punch/readers. Raise your hand if you remember the 'Kansas City' standard.
