The sign said, "if you haven't eaten it, please don't drop it down the tube." So what do we do with the used toilet paper? Throw it in the garbage can?

OMG Ken... small world. I got my EE & BA from LIT. Ummm.... MUCH later then when you were there... [Wink]

I worked with Soupy in his later shows. That is an old pic of him with Clyde Adler that played "White Fang" and "Black Tooth". He also did "Pookey", etc. Those guys were crazy and a lot of fun to work with.

BTW: That tower was 1070 ft tall. A thousand feet of tower with an internal "open-frame" 2-man elevator and a 70 ft antenna mast on top.

Being the dumbass 20 y/o I was and willing to try MOST anything, I used to con the maintenance guys into a ride up the tower. It was a lot of fun until one time the elevator control failed and it took almost 4 hours to get down! HA!

You could only go up there if the wind was not excessive... If the tower swayed less than 20ft side to side at the top, it was OK... YIKES!

Phil,
Did you get to work with the bread boards with the tip jacks in the EE Electronics lab? I built them when I was there. Also built the screen room for low level audio measurements because we were so close to the big transmitters.

We also had an old 1KW AM Broadcast rig there which made 3 500 watt bulbs glow pretty well as a dummy load. That stuf was mostly for the night classes of the Technical Institute. Arthur Hart was the man I worked for and he was head of the Technical Institute Electronic programs.
