I did some work at a theater, and saw this. I asked the guy if I could take a picture because this is one of the neatest laid-out EMT jobs I've seen in a long time.

My house is the one just below the red dot in the center of the pic...about a mile north of the Capitol Record's building and a mile SW of the "Hollywood" sign.

Maybe we should start a "FT Member Satellite House View Thread"? [Razz] [sleep]

I noticed that Google maps doesn't always get the address right. Type in my place and instead you get my neighbor's marked by the map. Type in Brad's and you're about a quarter mile away from the real thing. Oh well, it's still in beta. Still mega cool, though!

I agree Joe... It's sorta like MapQuest... it sux!

The USGS or Terraserver sites are THE way to go...

That's where I got my pic from...and it's free!

However, the latest pics are not always available. Some may be a few years old and not show the current developments.

I remember trying to find my theatre in Mapquest a long time ago and it was off by 45 miles (and in a different town). Tried it with this new thing, and now it's only 28 miles off (but still in a different town). They got the phone number, address and website correct though so that's something.

A typical bit of American electrical installation. Looks very strange to us from this side of the water. This was in Jersey City, in the road leading to my hotel. Nikon F, Fuji Sensia 100.
