The sad thing is, I've actually had to pick up a body that looked like that before. Kinda funky but the good thing is, they don't smell after they've been dead for that long [Big Grin]

While I've never had to "pick-up" a body like that, I certainly had my share of seeing burnt people from house fires, plane crashes, and auto wrecks when I was a TV news cameraman for ABC.

The MOST disgusting and nauseating odor to me is the smell of burnt/burning human flesh. It also gets in your clothes so that ya gotta throw them away cuz ya can't get rid of or wash out the smell.

I really have to hand it to the firemen, the coroner, and even the police for the job they do of which I could not stomach in a 1000 years.

When I visited the Western Isles of Scotland a few years ago, there were rotting cars like that abandoned all over the place, most of them less than 10 years old. Because the air is very salty and the islands are small, the bodywork starts to rust very quickly and the multiple short runs from cold kill the engines within 30-50k miles. The people I was staying with explained that the cost of shipping a car back to the mainland vastly exceeds its scrap value, with the result that people just abandon them by the roadside.

I agree Mike... He got arrested trying to purchase drugs in Los Angeles' skid row. (God! For some former teen throb, he looks whipped and REALLY ugly!)

Also Leif Garrett... the 1970's cutie-pie heart throb for teen girls and boner boy for gay boys back then, was also just arrested for no ticket on a train AND they found drugs on him!

JFC! Both of their "adult" pics just goes to show ya how f*cking STUPIT and ugly our former heart-throbs have become as they AGE! YUK! HA!

I don't know who this is or what his deal is, but the fact that a person ever existed that looks like this pisses me off.

Joe, those are of pics of Leif Garrett in the 1970's and now...one of the "stars" I was referring to in my post.

(I guess I should have labeled those pics as such...)

I "corrected" my post...

According to IMDB it was heroin, and on Christmas (or X-mas, whatever) eve-eve!

IMDB

quote:
On December 23, 2005 he was arrested, together with 14 other suspects, during a random drug sting operation in downtown Los Angeles while allegedly trying to buy heroin.
Edited to add (since I didn't see it until after posting) :

Also from IMDB :

quote:
Has played in a school production sponsored by DARE, a program in which young people learn about the danger of drugs

I will have to see if time allows me to approve of Leif Garrett's existence. It's gonna be a tough one! I can't really say he's improved!
