There is a lot of variation and confusion and conversion back to analog to add the bugs (because digital bug-adding equipment is expensive for some reason). This is from memory from discussions with an acquaintance who follows this a bit too closely, so I might be misremembering. Watched it OTA on ABC owned WABC out of NYC. The only thing I did noticed was that some of the commercials were too loud out of the center channel. What bugs me is that most commercials in HD are letterboxed into a 4x3 frame. Since they were clearly filmed for 16x9, why don't they just run them that way.  |  IP: Logged
