Holy shit, they made music videos in the 1950's? I seriously didn't think music videos came around until the 80's or so.

Beatles brought that idea out to the mainstream when they did their movies "A Hard Days Night" in 1964 and "Help!" in 1965. Apparently the vid he posted was from a year later, 1966.

Must have been one hell of a travel budget for this (or a very good editor): Where the hell is Matt?

That was great. I wonder how often their luggage got lost. Also gaining the cooperation of the locals was another great feat.

Not to discount the video, but you would've thought with all the money they spent on travel that at least he could've afforded some dancing lessons. Heck, with all of the different cultures he experienced surely someone could've taught him something other than how to run in place. [Razz]

Joe's "Junior" moment. See Scopitones Not quite the 50's but soon after.

And in the 1940's, even before Scopitones were "Soundies." Similar to Scopitones, they were shown on 16mm rear projection "jukeboxes."

Oh, no! That guy spent a lot of time re-inventing the wheel... that effect comes standard with After Effects.
