I don't get it. The guy makes a short putt and everyone goes nuts. A hole in one would've been much more impressive.

Brad, that first piano guys video made me cringe. Finger oils arn't at all kind to piano strings. While I don't make my living tuning pianos, I have found that on some pianos, the highest strings sometimes have to be plucked to hear the properly. Sometimes the strike of the hammer obscures the sound. I use a guitar pick in those instances.

But I have experienced the audience reaction displayed in the second video. I was servicing the nurse call system in an Alzheimer's unit. As I was leaving I stopped by a well worn piano and played the first page of "Kitten On The Keys" . It was like the dead had come back to life. You'll never find a more appreciative audience than those in senior living facilities.

While any contact between humans and bears is risky, all other things considered, that was probably the best way to deal with a bear that comes poking around your back yard and house.

Only thing is I wouldn't have gotten so close to it.

My parents house is in the woods like that. They've had the occasional bear on the back porch, too. They just open the window, rattle some pots and pans together and holler at it.

It's clear that bear had been at that house before. I hope they weren't feeding it.

Interesting Doug. I didn't know plucking the strings was bad for them. I was just amazed at how they were able to pluck the correct ones.

Brad, I'll admit it IS impressive to see that such musicality can be attained using nontraditional techniques. I'm reminded of an old joke:

Hobbit-themed flight safety video a YouTube hit

This dance was performed by 63 deaf dancers. Because they can not hear the music, there are six directors in white clothes helping them.

And boy, is it impressive!
