I suspect that it is a legitimate translation since it's really no more outrageous than other NK propaganda. A lot of their photos, videos and write-ups, the vast majority, is so over-the-top and downright silly that I wonder why they continue to make that stuff. It makes them look like a bunch of clowns before the entire world. Surely they could manage produce better propaganda than they currently do. It's not funny to the people who live there, though, so I suppose there is no need to make it any more subtle or sophisticated. I read this book a while back: Nothing to Envy: Ordinary Lives in North Korea There was nothing in it that I hadn't heard of or about before, but it's quite a story and well worth reading. It sure gives you a new appreciation for what life is in the Western world. Between that and the sound it was not as good as I liked. Seriously though, how did you shoot that and NOT notice?
