It also eliminates the need to use a user format for EX as the format 10 button will play EX or non-EX based on the flag bit in the data from the reader. The DA-20 and CP-500 setups can also be upgraded for auto EX, but this does require an updated board in the SA-10 surround adapter and some added wiring. That is the version "B" trailer that was released shortly after the original version was released (rumored to be because too many theaters were blowing speakers). Personally, I think that "Dolby - Train (version longue)" is the worst one of all the various mixes of the Train. The trailer labeled "dolby-train" is the current one in theaters. The trailer labeled "dolby-train_surround" has the visuals of the original mix, but I don't believe that is the proper sound mix. The "dolby best sound" trailer is interesting. It is an old home video snipe. Apparently having Dolby Surround in your living room means you get to hear the noise of a projector behind you during the movie. If the third dts logo for download is the new logo Karen was talking about, there is no way I will play it. It is a minute and 15 seconds long and is VERY TINNY and will hurt people's ears! There is also no "oooomph" or "slickness" to it at all (looks like a college video production that is desperately trying to be cool, but just isn't). Hopefully that was a "made for home video" logo. If that is released to theaters, there will be a lot of hf diaphragms replaced and a lot of people hating to go to movies in dts. Tons of surrealism and lots of punch. There is no way that 3rd DTS logo is something they would use as a trailer. Looks more like something they put on the front of a DTS demo DVD or something. Many shots whiz by at 60 fields per second, meaning much of it was made on video. I just listened to it in 5.1 and the surrounds are pretty aggressive as is the sub. I don't think it would blow any diaphragms though. The music is very bad. It is boring to watch. Even for a demo DVD I don't like it. Interesting that the audio is encoded in Dolby Digital, not DTS. But the other two trailers on the site have DTS audio. If you download the other two DTS trailers on the site, you probably won't hear any sound since no software DVD players support DTS audio that I know of.  |  IP: Logged Michael Schaffer "Where is the Boardwalk Hotel?"
