The 16mm is the Neumade type, and for 35mm it is the more standard clear thin style. It works fine but can be just a little sticky upon removal. Not as bad as others, but just needs more care if removing without any leftover residue. Any idea how many reels of film are residing in libraries all over the country, not to mention the world and are still run in hundreds of art and retrospective houses and museums and, uh, The Library of freakin Congress? When those millions of feet of runable film become unusable or when all of those titles get transferred to digital prints (fat chance) or even available on BluRay, people all over the planet will still be running film long after you and have both gone to that great big projection booth in the sky. And not for nuthin, they will need splicing tape, quaint as it is. Just like people have never stopped needing diamond styli and moving magnet cartridges to play the latest NEW vinyl LPs that are STILL released every year, as well as the stacks of LPs in audiophiles libraries which have never been released as digital CDs. Registered: Nov 2005 posted 10-27-2011 10:18 PM                     Several weeks ago obtained some of Brad Miller's 16mm splicing tape thru American Cinema Equipment, and am convinced it is same as the Neumade product. Adhesive doesn't remain on film when tape removed(!), and cutter pushed edge of core into opening so have to trim it out with Exacto knife before core will fit on spindle in splicers; these were characteristics of Neumade tape.
