We are a very rural, low grossing drive in theater here in South Central Indiana. There are 3 drive in theaters in my area this summer which ran 35mm and we all had a very good year. Top hits are always on film except for Fox and they had no real big hits this summer to want to put on film. The other kind of movie on 35mm will be the Turds they try to save by putting it everywhere they can find a screen to put it on. All were 35mm (change-over). Within 10min of the last reel, the print was picked up to go to another screening somewhere up in Canada. SOS also had several 35mm runs at the Telluride Film Festival back in September, although it didn't play in the theater I work at there. I've heard there are DCP's of this title out there, but almost everyone I know who has run it has done so in 35mm.  |  IP: Logged Jonathan Goeldner Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1360 From: Washington, District of Columbia Registered: Jun 2008 posted 12-17-2015 12:08 PM                     I know that AFI's EU film festival earlier this month was 35mm, as well as the Charlottesville UVA Film Festival - it's the Middleburg Virginia that I'm not sure of - I had tix, but at the last minute couldn't make the screening (that could have been 35mm, but I was under the impression that all the sites for the movie screenings only did DCP). Nor am I aware of how the Hungarian Embassy/Naval Heritage Center in Washington DC earlier this week was projected either. question is the second NYC theater - Lincoln Plaza Cinema - 35mm or DCP? Just one print in the LA market which I am aware of.
