Obviously you have spent considerable time researching playdates for 70mm films in many locations. My brother in law Joe O has even helped you identify locations in the Washington DC metro area. Obviously you are dedicated to this worthy effort. However, I do sense an issue with your ability to accept comment without becoming defensive. Perhaps you could understand that criticism is not a personal attack on you but rather an attempt to make your work better. My cousin Dr. Elayne Savage wrote a book about not taking criticism personally. Perhaps you could pick up on some of the tips she offers. Last week, I screened Oklahoma! In 4k, 30fps, 500 mb/s, and it was glorious on a large screen. I pulled some examples of original frames that I had saved, and confirmed that they were 65, not 70mm. Moreover, I think you guys focus too much on the messenger. As well, I detect a bias in that there seems to be unwavering support for your fellow techs and projectionists and a lack of respect for people you perceive not to be a part of your industry or community. Or, maybe you simply dislike people making charges of misremembering details from long-ago events. IMHO, what makes the articles interesting is the personal experiences, etc., even when memories turn out to less than perfect. A list is just a list, no matter how much work goes into assembling it.
