Posts: 10973 From: Lawton, OK, USA Registered: Apr 2001 posted 11-01-2005 03:15 PM                     I've learned the Episode III bonus disc exclusive at Wal-Mart is basically two 30 minute documentaries that simply recap what happened in the other movies. They're reported a bit cheezy and aimed for kids (particularly with R2D2 and C3PO doing the narration). 4:3 ratio, 2.0 sound. Die hard fans and completists may want to pay extra for it. But the 2-disc edition by itself is selling for $14.99 (or even less) at some places. This is assuming you even want to have a copy of the movie. I'll get one. I liked this one more than the other two prequels. Its something not available anywhere else yet, but I agree only the die-hard fans of the series will want it. Two 30 minute summarizations of each trilogy. I doubt its gonna be worth any kind of "collector value" in the future simply because Wal-Marts are EVERYWHERE and anyone who wants the bonus disc, will buy it. Its worth $5. Has anyone noticed the text on the back of the box? It pisses me off. I had the exact same brain aneurysm when I saw that. Since I don't even own any version of the original trilogy, I'm waiting for the big 6-film box set before I even consider buying any of them. As long as it's NOT a huge, awkward box with a t-shirt and light-saber included, I'll get it. Just the six movies, maybe some extra discs with the bonus stuff ... that's it. For a reasonable price, I'll own them for ONCE and call it a day. And THAT's pretty much my investment in Star Wars.  |  IP: Logged
