Author Topic: Couples Having Sex In The Theater Nate Lehrke Master Film Handler Posts: 396 From: Denver, CO Registered: Oct 2002 posted 07-26-2003 02:13 PM                     Once, during the seven o'clock set, I walked in on two employees "getting down with the get down" in the janitor's closet. Needless to say, they were fired promptly! The best part was calling there parents and informing them of what had happened being that the two were only 15 and 16 years old. This was after the last show had finished and we were (or at least I was) closing down the building but still... The best is when a Manager that use to run the cinema was staying at the cinema for a week, when he was between rented flats, a video of him stark naked walking down our art gallery was found! I was turning 14 that year.....last time I was there they had converted it to a twin. When I worked there they had converted projector one the you show over to xenon. If memory serves they still used the lamphouse with a xetron retrofit kit installed. The other machine was exactly like that one except they had removed the 20 minute reel magazines. You see our theatre is beside a highschool and seniors skip school all the time to come an watch movies and mess around in the theatres cause they're pretty empty during the day. He would watch who was comming in, and when he saw a high school couple he would take note of the theatre they would go into. After a while he would return to the booth and take a peak into the theatres to see if any of his calls were right. If he found a couple going at it in the back row he would watch for a few minutes and then open the window, toss a quarter at them and say something whitty like "Thanks for the show" or something like that. He was alot of fun. One of my fellow house projectionists at my theatre left us a little surprise the other day in the Mechanical Room just off the booth. I had to go get a light bulb in there and found his used latex and wrapper on the floor. I guess he forgot it in the heat of the moment but it was gone after his next shift. They have sex on the most cunmfortable seat of the theater, but they forget that one CCTV camera was on, and all the staff in the office was looking this strange "Show" The guy and the girl was fired up immediately... Another time, an assistant manager, observing the CCTV screen of the emergency exit, saw a girl makin' a blow job to his boyfriend. Once time there finished, the manager walk to hem and ask: Did You had a good time ? I'll bet we could talk for hours about Mid-States and the Whites! I worked briefly at Northpark in the winter of '78, but my car used to get broken into all the time, so I didn't stay long. I came back to Sky-Vue as manager for the '89 season. There was a Strong Futura/Kneisley 3 KW conversion on #1. Number two eventually got turned around, and an ORC 6000 dropped on the back, for the expansion screen. Last time I visited, they had a DBL MUT on the big screen and a Drive-In platter for the back (or maybe vice/versa). I think that's since been changed to a Potts 5-deck for both. They'd had a Hobart MG set there, when I was operator in the 70s. And an Altec 287-W! Everything was still kept in good repair back then, and EVERY downlight on the speaker poles worked! What a sight! Richard Morgan was a great old school manager... So, how'd you end up at Cinemark? An usher (oddly enough working at the theater where I'm now employed) caught a girl giving oral pleasure to a guy in an auditorium. The usher told everyone that they were 12 years old. When asked how he knew this, he explained that he knew them - they were from his neighborhood. I have no idea why people think they wont get caught with this. The most recent time was before a show in one of our smaller auditoriums, it was early enough before the next show that no customers had arrived yet, except this one couple. They sat towards the front. And while I was threading a projector, I noticed the woman was sitting in this guys lap while glancing out the window. Which isn't really a big deal until, from the corner of my I see her moving around kinda funny. I started to pay attention, then I realized she's doing more than just sitting in his lap! I started to turn off the Non-Sync music and tap on the window, and tell them to stop, But then all of a sudden another customer walks in, and he sits about 5 rows behind them. The couple immediately stops to hide what they were doing, however they (mainly the woman) were in a tough position. Because this woman had her pants and panties down around her knees, and she couldn't stand up off the guy to pull them up without exposing herself to the customer behind them! So they just had to sit there like that. After a few minutes the one customer in the back row, for whatever reason got up and walked out the auditorium. Then she quickly got up and pulled her pants back up. I feel that these acts can be prevented with proper and frequent theater checks by the Ushers.
