Author Topic: Favorite Customer Quotes Leo Enticknap Film God Posts: 7474 From: Loma Linda, CA Registered: Jul 2000 posted 07-03-2002 02:53 AM                        Elderly customer comes out of Sunday matinee double-bill in a rep house in a student town - programme was When We Were Kings followed by Get on the Bus. He strikes up conversation with the girl in the box office. Customer: 'Why are you showing all those films with black people in them?' Box Office Girl: 'Err... what do you mean exactly?' Customer: 'I mean, they don't half act strange in them films. I mean, when you see real black people they're pretty normal really, but in them films they act all strange. They talk funny, and they all put their hats on the wrong way round.' I don't think he was actually racist - just completely failing to take in anything these films had to offer. Yes, the cashier in the box office actually asked me that question. Aside from the millions of: - "What's playing at the drive-in?" -"We're no longer affiliated with the drive-ing." -"So, do you know anyway what's playing?" The funnier conversations are when some calls and asks us what movies we're playing, after naming all 7 movies and times, they ask us how its posible to play all those movies, and in the daytime..  |  IP: Logged Daryl C. Looking out the booth window today, trying to figure out why the auditorium looked "different", I noticed the aisle lights on the right side were out. I went downstairs to check the dimmer and asked the supervisor how long they had been off. The response? "About an hour. Some customer came out and said it was smoking." "And what did we do about this smoking issue?" "Oh, nothing. The lights went out eventually." Fantastic.  |  IP: Logged
