Star trek III was a bad movie????

But William Shatner's directorial debut was an odd numbered STAR TREK, so there's an exception to that rule (not that the other odd ones are bad either, but they don't feature Shatner fighting God).

Chastity: tied with Sonny & Cher's "Good Times," both practically documentary due to low budgets, but VERY 1960's.

Daddy-O: 30-year-old "teenager" Dick Contino is hilariously awkward.

"The Ten Commandments" is great!

"White Hunter, Black Heart" Clint Eastwood in a bizarre performance.

"Ed Wood" Might be my favorite Tim Burton film.

Now I forgot to list the Death Race 2000...that IS a classic!

However, I would then say that the 10 commandments would fall into the classic category and an award winner at that. One wouldn't or shouldn't feel guilty for liking or watching it. 2001:A Space Odyssey would be similar in that whilst some just don't get it, it isn't considered a film that one would feel guilty by liking it.

A guilty pleasure film would be one that is generally considered to have no redeeming qualities, did zero business or otherwise wasn't liked by the mainstream audience (particularly of it's era).

The odd numbered Star Treks certainly qualify even though the loyal Trek fans would see any of them...likewise with the current STAR WARS stuff.

I would put USED CARS on my list but I don't feel the least bit guilty about it...it is a damn good and funny movie that owes nobody anything. Yet due to it's release near Airplane!, got virtually no play time in the theatres.
