Note to theater staff: (1) You do not need to risk the lives of the people in the last set of shows in order to leave 3 minutes earlier. And then you'd still need filament, focus grid potential and high voltage to make it work. Steve, is this an actual electron beam scanned picture(from inside the tube) on the screen? I said it had not been Photoshopped or other digital trickery. I never said there was no trick at all. It's a simple double exposure. One with full illumination showing the tube sitting on the carpet. Another in a totally dark room with the rest of the TV chassis guts moved into position to connect the tube neck, deflection yoke and high voltage. This was someone's old tube type tv I was fixing (I don't even remember whose) and when I had it apart this gag shot suggested itself to me. There is one error in the photo: If you look closely at the right side you will see some orange dots which are the glow of the various tubes in the chassis during the 2nd exposure. I should have thrown a blanket over it.
