At first glance, I thought that photo was taken in Atlantic City. But then Atlantic City doesn't have any fountains like the one at Bellagio in Las Vegas.

I hope James Bond doesn't mind being seen with anything less than ISCO Blue Stars & Kinoton or Norelco projectors but mind you this was quite a few years back! [Wink]

Hard to beat that light source though.

"Now showing on our new wet-gate projector..."

Kodak (Dr. Fred Kolb) actually presented a technical paper and demonstration of a total immersion wet gate projector at a SMPTE Conference in the early 1960's. It completely covered base-side and superficial emulsion-side scratches, and greatly improved focus stability. The drawback was the use of chlorinated solvent in the booth:

"Liquid Gate for the Projection of Motion Picture Film", Frederick Kolb, John Turner, Philip Ripson, Eric Yavitz, Journal of the SMPTE, February 1962, Volume 71, pp 100-105

A nice lungful of 1,1,1,trichloroethane... that could get pleasantly high... [Big Grin]

I wonder if there've been any documented cases of Filmguard sniffing addiction?
