Doesn't match the 2000' magazine beneath although it's hard to judge the sizes exactly. More interesting is that they seem to be equipped with an additional pair of 1000' magazines below and in front for running unmarried prints or dailies right on the projector. I've not seen this arrangement before; the old preview lower magazines I've seen were one large compartment with 3 spindles. Like so (from the old Presentation Manual): An E7 even! A lot of the old Fox West Coast preview theatres in Southern California were equipped with E7's and later XL's, that had the 1000 foot double-system set-up for studio preview workprints. Mostly just so I could say I've done it. Reversal dupe of a workprint and 1:1 copy of cut production sound. I presume the studio execs with home film screening rooms would have double system setups if they wanted to view dailies or workprints at home. Most are XL equipped and some have full Magna-Tech reproducers setup. Ron Meyer's (Chairman of Universal/MCA) room is setup using his living room as the theatre it over looks the Pacific ocean. Lee Rich's (former Chairman & CEO MGM/UA) is setup on the second floor of his home and has a small snackbar too. Robert Evans's (former VP at Paramount Pictures) room is setup in a former pool house (Kid Stays in the Picture), like the screening room at the former Mervyn LeRoy estate. The one at the former Jack Warner estate is a nice one too.
