"Starman"

(The Starman is driving and RACES through a yellow light as it turns red)

Jenny: That was a yellow light! Didn't you watch me? Don't you know what that means?

Starman: I watch you very carefully. Red light, stop; green light, go; yellow light, go very fast.

Slim Pickens (in Blazing Saddles after getting a whiff of the bean-eating clan): "I'd say you've had enough!"

Come to think of it, pretty much ANY line spoken by Slim Pickens in Blazing Saddles and 1941 ("You ain't gittin' shit") make me laugh out loud even when watching the films alone. Same with anything that comes out of Jackie Gleason's mouth in Smokey And The Bandit. [Smile]

My favorite Slim P. line from BLAZING SADDLES is, "Somebody's gonna have to go back and get a whole shit-load o'dimes!"

There's a "best of Buford T. Justice" video on YouTube somewhere that collects almost everything Gleason said into one compilation. Great stuff. "I'm gonna barbecue your ass in molasses!" [Cool]

My absolute favorite Pickens line from "Blazing Saddles" probably would be his "...jumpin' around like a bunch of Kansas City faggots" bit spoken to the gang building the railroad near the beginning of the film.

That line probably doesn't go over well with some of the film-tech members. [Wink]

"Survival kit contents check. In them you'll find: one forty-five caliber automatic; two boxes of ammunition; four days' concentrated emergency rations; one drug issue containing antibiotics, morphine, vitamin pills, pep pills, sleeping pills, tranquilizer pills; one miniature combination Russian phrase book and Bible; one hundred dollars in rubles; one hundred dollars in gold; nine packs of chewing gum; one issue of prophylactics; three lipsticks; three pair of nylon stockings. Shoot, a fella' could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff."

Slim Pickins
Dr. Strangelove

Yea Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"The Graduate":

Benjamin: Listen to me. What happened between Mrs. Robinson and me was nothing. It didn't mean anything. We might just as well have been shaking hands.

Mr. Robinson: Shaking hands? Well, that's not saying much for my wife, is it?

Yaa! A BLAZING SADDLES RUN!

"I sure would appreciate it if you could find it in your heart to hang him by his neck until he was dead!"

----------
From another of my favorite Mel Brooks films, "HISTORY OF THE WORLD, PART ONE":

"I'm Jewish I'm telling you! Call the temple. Call the rabbi. Call...Sammus Davis Jr. Call Sammus. He'll vouch for me."

All of these Blazing Saddle comments deserve a laurel...and "hardy" handshake. Now, I'll go back to my one flavor of Howard Johnson's Ice Cream.

"What are we made of? Our fathers came across the prairie, fought Indians, fought drought, fought locusts, fought Dix - remember when Richard Dix came in here and tried to take over this town? Well, we didn't give up then, and by gum, we're not gonna give up now."

and...

"You'd do it for Randolph Scott."
