Daryl: I know I'm going to regret asking this, but did you look it up, or did you know what RFC1337 was about? I'm guessing the latter but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
Seeing how this topic has gone way off, at least twice, what's the best number fro a RFC? Maybe to geeky... IŽd say RFC3092...
Is this just going to be manufactors changing their manuals? I'm guessing what is essentially a very rational way of naming things will live on, if only as word of mouth. Nobody I've ever worked with has had any objection, though not relevant, but what is to the point is that nobody misunderstands. If asking for a female-female cable, I get what I ask for, and a master hard drive will be just that.
I wonder what they'll come up with that's better. "Make sure you have one hard drive as no 1 and the other as no 2 in the same IDE, or they will never work together..!"
Posting to keep the anxiety of my back. Should be studying, but my apartment has never been this clean, and I find interesting things on TV almost all the time. Can't keep it back much longer. Have to understand Maxwell... before Wednesday...
