Miraculously, I was able to recover and avoided broadsiding an overpass, but it scared the crap outta me! They shut the roads down and I was stuck at a rest area for better than 24 hours. I had food and drinks in my cooler and a TV in the truck, so I wasn't worried about that. I learned Ohio sure is ill-prepared for snow removal, though. If it had snowed that much in New England, the roads would've been cleared and dry in a few hours. The upshot was I finally made it home at 2am on Christmas, and I got to stop in and see my father and brothers while passing through KY, so I'm thankful. At least that is what I was told when I asked my family where my gifts were. I bought myself a Cold Heat Soldering Iron. I got snow on Christmas... in Houston!! According to statistics it has been 86 years since that has happened. I got to watch all the children in my family see and play in snow for the first time.
