As for Eyevision and its semi-circular view of the action, it's not yet graduated to HD, but it has been spiffed up, said Larry Barbatsoulis, CBS director of technical operations.

"We've improved the video quality and pointing accuracy," he said.

The network originally developed Eyevision for the 2001 Super Bowl in partnership with Core Digital Technologies, PVI, and more recently with German cable company Sat1, which uses the system for soccer.

Eyevision is essentially an array of robotic cameras placed intervals around the field and controlled so that a rotating perspective can be rendered.

In Tampa, the cameras were arranged to capture a 220-degree perspective at 12 degrees apart. In Houston, the cameras will be placed closer together-about five degrees apart for a 180 perspective-to create a smoother image.

Football fans tuning into this year's Super Bowl were treated to a unique new view of the action during playbacks. CBS Television used a new technology co-developed by the network and Carnegie Mellon computer vision expert Takeo Kanade.

"Eye Vision", as CBS calls it, involves shooting multiple video images of a dynamic event, such as a football game, from multiple cameras placed at different angles. The video streams from these cameras are combined by computer and the resulting images reach viewers in a format that will make them feel as if they are flying through the scenes they see.

The action at Super Bowl XXXV was captured by more than 30 cameras, each poised some 80 feet above the field at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. Each camera, with computer-controlled zoom and focus capabilities, was mounted on a custom-built, robotic pan-tilt head, which could swing the camera in any direction at the command of a computer. These camera heads were controlled in concert so that cameras pointed, zoomed and focused at the same time on the same spot on the field, where a touchdown or fumble occurred.

How does the system work? One of the camera heads is designated as the master camera. A human camera operator manipulates a movable pan-tilt tripod attached to a TV screen on which the video from the master camera is constantly displayed. The pan-tilt tripod is equipped with sensors to constantly measure its angle. The master camera head moves by mimicking the motion of the tripod as the camera operator moves it to capture a moving object on the field on his or her TV screen.

What more proof does one need? Neill Boortz stated that she should be arrested for indecent exposure. Again, I would have to agree. The only drawback to this is the HUGE surge in Album sales that would result if she were arrested.

I didn't actually this happen last night, I was doing something else, but I did see P.Diddy (also known as that OTHER black guys who doesn't know what he wants his name to be), Nelly & Kid Rock. I thought it a little odd that while they were onstage, all the backup dancers had 'booty shorts' on with their ass cheeks shining.

Whgile hot women in ass shorts are normally something I would NOT mind seeing, they truly have no place on the SuperBowl Halftime show. I's bet that MTV is not a halftime show coordinator anytime in the near future, and rightfully so.

Soemthing else to think about. What's the difference between JJ's tit and the guy who streaked on the field? You don't know? HE will be arrested, no doubt. She, on the other hand, will not. All in the eyes of power and money.
