Registered: Aug 1999 posted 02-06-2006 11:03 AM                     I'm going through some intense therapy to get my strength back. I lost 35 pounds, and am now at 140 lbs. I ve been eating Sonic strawberry shakes to help me gain some weight. I tried that "Weight Gain" powder in milk from the health food store, but all it did was make me want to vomit. I cant drive my truck, yet, but expect to very soon. I'm being well-taken care by my mom, an old nurse. I am staying out at their house until I came come back home. I lost my job at the theatre for now, but God love him, my boss told me that as soon as I get better, come ond down and I will have a job there again. Also lost my medical insurance, and thankfully am going to get Social Security, and Medicaid. I lucky for all this. Im refinancing my house to use some of the $100,000 dollar value to live on. My brilliant sister is handling all the bank crap for me. I will post more as I learn more. Thank you all for caring, as you are all family. "Quickly" may mean a few months as opposed to losing years, but you can tell the difference. Inventory your progress every month or so & if it's diminishing, go back to the therapist or find another that's interested in getting the job done as opposed to just saying that the standard regimen was followed. Glad you are coming along, bro. Of course, nothing like making a guy who's had double pneumonia and who's died a few times feel better than telling him that he's also lost his health insurance....the blood-sucking insurance company scum. The upside is that you have your own mum taking care of you....most excellent. Here's hoping you mend good as new. And keep us posted on your progress. Looks like this story will have a happy ending.
