Damn, Josh!

I know why you crashed. The pictures show your motorcycle had no handlebars!

Yeah, looks like Phil is right, that is a piece of junk now, no chance repairing that. So, how much you want for it?

It probably could be repaired but there can be some unseen damage that could make it dangerous to ride. If the insurance will buy a new one then that is the best thing and sell the wrecked one for parts. At least that is what I would do.

well the short list of what the machine needs is pretty much as follows:

New/used radiator
forks
triple tree
instrument cluster
tank
possible airbox
ignition switch
and, of corse, plastics

Ebay is your best friend [Big Grin]

The frame doesnt look as if it took any direct impact, but I still want to send it in and have it measured/straightened if need be. the rest is pretty small stuff, but the insurance man would have totalled it.
It only had liability so I have to fix it.

Don't you want to add handlebars to that list? Like I said, it didn't look like your bike had them before. Might be a good upgrade!
[Big Grin]

Heal up soon, dude.

it had race clip-ons that merely folded back against the tank. look close and you can see the green grips.

That's ok, Bobby, I didn't see them either and was thinking the same thing. Shows what I know about bikes and handle bars!

You will never see me on a motorcycle. When I was about four or five, my uncle took me for a spin on a little dirt bike moped thingy, and we wrecked. It probably wasn't a bad wreck, but as a four year old, it scared the crap out of me. I'm still afraid of motorcycles to this day. You might see me on a bicycle though. [Wink]

Glad you're ok, Josh. You are indeed lucky. Get well soon!

When you find out, I'd be curious to know how much your insurance will go up. If you can still afford it, I think these
in the 50th anniversary color look sweet in person.

A racer buddy of mine is doing up his ultralight entry this year in the 50th aniversary colors. He's got a little YZF-400. Cool little bike.
