Since the trains can't ever seem to run on time in the morning, I've been walking the 10 blocks from the station to work; from downtown Minneapolis, across a bridge or two to the riverfront.

My sides haven't even ached, I must be doing better [Smile]

Bobby, look into Resq 1250. I took that together with LDLX, and dropped my cholesterol from 204 to 139 in about eight weeks. No nasty effects with the liver either. Lots of folks on Lipitor take it, then their docs take them off of Lipitor when they see what happens. Same goes for the other statin drugs. You're right, they're all NASTY on your liver. [thumbsdown]

Oh, and I didn't change anything in my diet during that time either. Still ate tons of steaks, hamburgers, cheese, etc. All the crap I ate before. I wanted to see exactly how well this product worked on its own before I changed my diet. Needless to say, when I called my doc, he said "Well, whatever you're doing, keep doing it!" So, I still eat lots of steak, hamburgers, etc. [Smile]

A friend of mine who has had problems with his knees for the longest time took it and not only did his cholesterol go down, but his knee problem went away. He still takes it, and the problem hasn't come back. This has been the case for probably about three years or so.

Apparently martial arts training, for instance, Aikido. All people I know who took up and trained regularly in a martial art had that effect. It will also make you more dangerous. Maybe I should try that, too, but I am already very dangerous the way I am.

All I need to say is, Weight Watchers really does work. I was on it and lost 20lbs in about a month but it does cost alot so I dropped it. Of course I gained back the 20lbs and I'm planning on getting back on the program within a few weeks with the help of my mommy as my diet partner... [Smile]

Want to lose weight? Who doesn't? Here are the best rules for losing weight fast:

-If it tastes good, DO NOT EAT IT! - Eating foods that have an enjoyable taste will most likely cause enormous amounts of weight gain. If it tastes awful, it is probably good for you.

-Shut off the Air Conditioning in the summer - As mentioned by some guy on the last page, A/C is pure evil. You lose weight through sweating. In the summer shut off the A/C and turn the heater/furnace on to it's maximum capacity. Try to have it on 24/7. Being comfortable is EXTREMELY unhealthy! Worried about heat stroke? DON'T BE! If you die, you'll lose weight super-fast as you decompose!

-Shut off the heater in the winter - You also lose weight through shivering. It is also a good idea to open all of the windows and/or turn on the air conditioning full blast 24/7. Being comfortable is just plain stupid. You froze to death? Well I guess you weren't shivering hard enough you wimp!

-Smoke - Smoking suppresses hunger. Ever notice how those morons who quit smoking start getting fatter and fatter? Smoking helps keep you thin. A nice byproduct of smoking is that you'll be really, really cool. And everyone likes cool people. Start early in life and smoke often!

-Sleep all day - Sleep deprivation can cause weight gain. Therefore getting too much sleep causes weight loss!

Do all of these things and you have a chance of living longer to enjoy not being comfortable for many more years than you otherwise would have. And if you die in a car accident or a shooting, at least you'll leave behind a nice, thin corpse!

Hi Jen,

I went to Canada last May to attend a family reunion. When I got home and started looking at the pictures I could not believe that I was looking at "ME".

I went on what is known as a low carb diet.

I started the diet on May 14th. as of today 7/5 I have lost
thirty-six pounds. I have gone from 228 lbs to 192.

Breakfast: 1/2 Grapefruit or juice unsweetened, 2 eggs anystyle - 1 slice bacon, coffee or tea.

Lunch: 1/2 Grapefruit or juice unsweetened - Salad, any dresine - meat or cheese any style, any amount.

Dinner: 1/2 grapefruit or juice unsweetened, Meat any style any amount- vegetables, any green or red(boilded or cooked in butter, olive oil or seasoning) salad as above- coffee or tea one cup.

Bedtime: Tomato Juice or skim milk or lemon water of cheese or meat.

At any meal you can eat until you can eat no more/on't eliminate anything from the diet. It is the combonation of foods that burns fat.

You may not have: White Onions, potatoes, pasta, sugars,
grain,flour,beans or rice.

You may have: Red Onions, broccoli, cabbage, bell peppers, green onions, carrots, radishes, spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers and leaf lettuce.

You may double of triple you meat, salad or vegetables.Eat until you are stuffed. The more the proper combination of food the more you lose.

Tey to drink three glasses of lemon water per day. this will flatten out the tummy. Squeeze a lemon into eight oz. of water. Drink as you would coffee or tea but do not add sweetner.

Good Luck.

Joe, funny you should say that. We brought a bunch of food from the states to China. The other night we made tacos for some friends, then the next night we made beef stroganof. The girl who we are staying with tore it up, we barely got to eat any. After she was finished, she looks at us and says "shit, no wonder americans are fat"

I totally agree. If you properly combine the foods you eat, you will have better health, more energy, and slim down. I did that for years before I got into the club scene and started eating too much fast-food protein and carbs, and drinking too much sugary alcoholic drinks...that'll sure put the weight on ya!

I'm a big believer in Harvey and Marilyn Diamond's properly combining food eating program as in their "Fit for Life" book series. It really works!

Lately I've been looking at NutriSystem's controlled and balanced carb way of eating...it seems to make sense to me.

Anyone tried it?

I completely disagree with the turning the AC off at night idea. If you were to sweat out all of your water stores over night then your body will be in a dehydrated state when you wake up and hoard whatever liquids you get in the morning. If you want to lose stored water then you need to DRINK more water. Drink 20oz within an hour of going to sleep and when you wae up to pee drink another 20oz. Being well hydrated is the only way for your body to stop storing water under the skin.

Another reason why I think it is a bad idea is because when you are losing body fat you have tons of excess waste in your body. You need to stay hydrated to flush out that waste.

As always, your mileage may vary. If it works for you then great.

I have an unusual situation in which I travel and drive alot and have a tendency to gain weight because of it. Dam! I know every good restaurant in Wyoming, Montana(including Mike's wives great dinners!), and a zillion other states! I love to hike and live very close to the mountains but the weight problem seems to always be at odds with the traveling part of my life. I still have great stamina in spite of being 30 lbs overweight and I attribute that from hiking up the mountains near where I live. Hiking does help to control your weight but the best benefit is that it really improves your breathing, and increases your stamina big time. It took me a long time after moving here to get used to the 5000 foot altitude while hiking a little at least every weekend... then gradually more often. I also try to hike or snowshoe when I'm on road trips if possible but that doesn't always work out. I don't think my lifestyle will allow a weight watchers sort of diet so I just put up with the weight gain on trips and then try to get rid of some of it when I get back and at least keep it in check where it is now.

BTW: A friend once tried the Grapefruit diet and lost a ton of weight but I hate grapefruit! Anyone else here try it?

Mark

Or maybe consider getting an enema.

Have you ever considered this simple question: "Are you clean inside?"

We shower, brush our teeth, and wash our hair on a daily basis. But we tend to ignore cleansing our "insides" until some form of disease sends us a wake-up call!

Are ***YOU*** a victim of a Toxic Colon?

Then get on all fours for me while I shove my 8-inch "colon cleaner" up your butt! Whether it be from toxic foods, too much food preservatives, or anal sex, you will feel relieved as it flushes out all the impurities that you have collected over the years.

probably, cause I only poo about twice a week. Seriously, i do. I've started a 'detox' program that you take twice a day: one pill is a fiber pill, one is just a bunch of herbs. (which IS helping on upping that bowel movements per week hehe) I sleep A LOT, always have since I was a kid. I probably sleep about 11 hours a day (includes 2+ hour naps I take). As for food habbits, they're bad. I snack a lot: mostly some sort of cracker/chip like Triskets or Wheat Thins. I don't work out, but I'm on my feet and moving around all day long at the theater and the other job. I'm not a vegitarian but I do LOVE fried tofu, especially in Chinese food! mmmmmmmm. Give me a green pepper and I'll eat the whole thing! Not really a fan of fast food, but have a sever weekness to pizza.

The REALLY bad thing I do is smoke. I smoke a little less than a 1/2 pack a day, though I roll my own American Spirit filtered cigarettes. I only take about 3 or 4 of them to work with me. I use to smoke Camel Ultralights, and when you have a full pack with you at work at all times, you smoke much more than you realize. I was up to a pack a day for the longest time and then switched to what I'm doing now. Either way, it still horrible and I know it is, so don't preach to me on how stinky I am haha.

So in conclusion, I'm probably not healthy at all!!

Oh, and I think the best weight loss idea is to NOT eat anything after 7 or 8pm!!!
