Wow, the relevance you have in that last statement is astounding. You can't even come up with the right come back for that. [sleep] Too much booty action probably does that to the brain. [sex]

When are you guys going to release that workout video? [evil]

During my recent illnesses, I lost lots of excess pounds. Before I got sick, I was pushing 190 really hard. When I came home from hospital, I weighed 136. This all happened in 3 weeks time.

Had to learn to eat allover again, and totally change the way I do it.

At first, I could only handle a couple of bites of food without feeling [puke] ... Doc told me to eat what I could, and stop. When I felt hungry again, try and eat a little more. After a month, I was eating fairly decently. I DO NOT want to get back to 190 lbs. again, so I have started eating more raw veggies than I think I've eaten totally in my life.

To help with healing, the doctors recommended that I eat ALOT of ground beef... hamburgers, spaghetti sauces, etc. I have done this, much to my enjoyment!

I am planning to stay at around 165, which is where I am now. I'm feeling GREAT and am chomping at the bit to get back to the theatre. My final surgery is coming up 7/17, and then I'm FREE (after healing up for 8 weeks [Mad] )

I FAST WALK on a treadmill everyday! I am lifting some weights at my friends house every Saturday. Running up and down the theatre steps will be good, too.

I was fat before, in my own words. I was up to size 40 pants! Now, 34's [Razz] .. Im wearing clothes that I have not worn in 15 years. And they look 15 years old too.

Im gonna have to come up with a new image for this site, too, after the surgery. Too much likeness to Billy Bob to suit me.

PS: the muscle woman on page 2 of this thread: Whould you really want to hit the sheets with her? She could hurt you bad.

Here's me before and after. I did the Atkins thing at first then just started eating healthy. Cut back on sugary cokes which I never really drank too much in the first place, no bags of Doritos, cut out refined sugars as much as possible and here I am today. I still have about 15 pounds of flab or so, but I think I'm at a good weight, I'd just like to tone up a bit.

Jeepers, Mike, you did really well! Kudos! [thumbsup]

I've been slacking on the working out/exercising lately do to coming home tired from work.
Do your exercises in the morning. That way, your pumped up muscles can help you burn fat all day.

Listen to the Hippinator.. he's got the 411.

As far as pix of me... I'm a work in progress, so the shot at the left is all you're gonna get for now. [Wink] Haven't been at this long enough for a substantial change. I am taking weekly photos, however, so I can morph them when I get where I want. With a frame frequency of every seven days, I should get a good, smooth morph. [Big Grin]

I never seem to wake up early enough to exercise before I go to work. I'm usually dead asleep and then barely if that half awake when I get up to go to work. Yeah, I could sleep earlier but thats not fun... thats like "I'm retired and an old fart sleeping time". [Razz]

Set your alarm clock half an hour or so earlier. When you workout, your blood will get flowing and you'll be energetic and wide awake by the time you go to work.

Believe me, if I can get my fat, lazy butt to workout, anyone can! Really. I've found it to be addictive. I have to make myself take rest days so my muscles can properly recover. I'm living for the burn and I rejoice over the sore muscles. They're so big and hard (okay, knock it off, guys) afterwards, I have a difficult time believing it's me. I can't get enough! I've really surprised myself at how I've taken off with this.

That's really awesome Tim! [thumbsup] I wish I had that energy that you do.

I used to crave the muscle soreness when working out too. Laziness killed it. [Big Grin]

Also Mike, good job, thats fantastic! [beer]

Mike, very imprssive. I always find those diet pill commercial so funny when they want people to spend over $100 a bottle for a fat loss pill. Just eat right and be more active and you will lose weight.

thanks guys! Yeah about those diet pills, it's pretty funny if you look at the pics in the ads, the people are mostly always in shape already, just maybe carrying around a little extra water weight. I saw a site one time where a guy who was pretty cut showed how they can cheat those photos easily. But in any case, I tried Hydoxycut one time, and when I got to the second week of usage, I got a really nasty caffeine headache so I threw it all away. I just stick to "natural" stuff like vitamins, fish oil, green tea supplements, etc, and that all seems to work for me.

Tim, if you want to get a REALLY good pump you should take BSN NOxplode. I've been taking it for a couple weeks and I can't say for sure if it is helping with muscle gains but when I take it and work out I don't seem to feel the need to rest between sets. The pump is much more intense as well.

I also take Animal Paks instead of regular vitamins. The only thing I have noticed from them is that they turn your pee a neon green color right after you take it. Kinda cool actually. I will let you know if I start to notice any changes from them, I've only taken them for a few days.

As for the soreness, I've had days where I could barely walk after a leg workout, for some reason going DOWN a set of stairs is way worse than going up when you are sore. Sometimes after I work out my arms I can barely lift them and they shake like crazy while I am driving home.

I have lost about 35 pounds since early January and gone from 260 to about 225 or so. I changed my Diet. Got off Soft drinks almost 100%, do have one occasionally. My brother was nice enough to get me a Membership to a health and fitness club and on a program called Lean and Fit which gave me 6 sessions with a Dietician and a once a week one hour session with a personal trainer for 10 weeks. I also got with that a full one year membership to the club to continue work outs after the 10 week lean and fit program. So After visiting with the dieticain and having my food intake modifed plus the work out sessions and continued working out have helped me drop some pounds and shape up.

I just started working a new part-time job as a ramp agent for Allegiant Air. So now I'm getting paid to workout, tossing hundreds of 50-100 lb bags four days a week. And it's only 110 DegF on the ramp, and 120 DegF inside an MD-83 when we're loading. Actually, I'm in the "bag room" most of the time, where it's a more reasonable 90 DegF or so. I've lost about 15 lbs so far. Hope to be back down to 160 lbs by the time school starts this fall.

I too have almost completely cut out the soft drinks, though I am having one as I type this. On the ramp we drink gallons of bottled water and Gatoraide a day, which the company provides- two pallets worth every few days.

The first week I ached all over like crazy. Now I'm beginning to get used to it, though I'm still the weakest (and oldest) one on the ramp. Haven't felt this alive in years.

I was going to try a similar product, Lipo 6, for the same thing, but then I saw the main ingredient was caffeine so I passed on it. No miracle there.

Chris, I've been reading about NO products and they sound cool, but I've been hesitant to try them because I've been afraid of what they might do to a person's heart. That may be unfounded, but when I read they're designed to increase the size of your veins, I immediately wondered about the heart. I'm taking it all very slow because I'm a good deal overweight. [Frown] When I get bigger/leaner, I will probably start into the hardcore supplements. Will look forward to hearing more of your experience with them.

[thumbsup] Cool! I'm taking "Beast Paks"... right next to Animal Paks on the shelf at The Vitamin Shoppe, and a little cheaper. Has 2000mg of creatine.

Beast Pak does the same thing w/the pee. [Wink]

well, I don't know how most people react to NO, but it seems that I've already built up a resistance to it. I got the extreme pumps for the first two or three wokouts but now all I get is the jitters. I'm going to try not using it for normal workouts and only use it once every few weeks for heavy days.
