PROTECT-IP is a bill that has been introduced in the Senate and the House and is moving quickly through Congress.

Is this a good thing or bad?

I think it's very, very suss and only the beginning.

Discuss.

It's very bad. That and SOPA are MPAA and RIAA darlings that they are trying to push through. What is the organization of theaters called? NATO? I forget. But they support it. But they also suck.

Those bills are typical government "solutions" that "fix" the problem so much that they create more problems than there were to begin with.

I have no idea why that didn't turn into a link. Maybe it's too long?

It should still work if you copy-and-paste it.

Some of you who love older technology (especially LaserDiscs) might enjoy this video I made about the Pioneer LaserActive. It was a home LaserDisc player that could also play its own videogames and more.

Game Sack - Pioneer LaserActive

The title music is done by fellow forum member Brian Weidemann.

I really like this one, Guy's talking on his phone during a concert.

It was an outdoor concert in a noisy public area.

Not to say that the guy had the "right" to talk on a phone but rules are a little looser when you're not in a formal performance venue.

But then, again, since it is a casual performance, the performers' weren't out of line either. Were they? [evil]
