I'm a little confused by that. Apparently Best Picture nominees get some sort of "weighted" scale on who has the best chance to win. They still have a lot of the awards left to go that nobody cares about, like best foreigners or whatever. Nobody cares about foreign people, they don't count! No movie that is 99% green screen deserves a cinematography award, especially when EVERY background element is lit and shaded in computers. This guy was brought in after all the motion capture work was done, all he had to do was light what few foreground pieces they used. I can evenly light a green flat and pull a clean digital key off it, it's not rocket science. Sheesh! I thought it was also good how they showed the importance of the short films. The Good Most acceptance speeches were appropriate and humble (except the costume lady) That amazing dance group. Ben Stiller making the best of the Na'vi makeup. The Bad Bad host jokes. (Baldwin was especially bad.)
