So I'm tuning up the B-Chain, making with the pink noise and all that... I start getting phone calls asking what all that loud noise is and how can they make it stop. I got fed up with explaining what pink noise is for and why I need it so I just made up a sign to put on the auditorium door. An old lady kept shouting up to me to turn it down. I told her I'd be done quickly, I just had to set the sound levels. She shouted back that it was too damn loud. Thanks for that, but you're not my goddamn SPL meter now get out of the auditorium if it bothers you! I don't expect them to understand how pink noise generators work but anybody who has worked inside a theater for any length of time should know what "SPL" means or at least they should understand that some guy makes a lot of noise in the theater every once in a while. No!...
