Not going to claim expertise here, but looks like a garter snake, which is completely harmless..
Gopher snake, according to a friend of my wife's, and she agrees - harmless. Like the skunks and opossums that roam around here all the time, they've clearly adapted well to living among humans.

Only in California!

Seen in the checkout lane display at my local supermarket. I'm surprised that they're not selling the stuff itself by now!

Nope - just a magazine.

However, I did notice that just after CA legalized pot, the local Home Depot started aggressively promoting home hydroponic growing kits, which consisted of a tank with holes in the top and a liquid circulation pump, with LED illumination above it.

They came with seed pods for innocent veggies and herbs, but I suspect that this isn't what most of the kits were used for...

Someone sent me a package yesterday. It is coming from a city about 60 miles away. As you'll see, it's taken a bit of a detour!

My wife ordered some bedroom furniture from Costco shortly before last Christmas.

It was shipped from Vietnam (where it was made) to Vancouver, to Toronto, to Regina, and then brought here yesterday.

Vancouver to Toronto to Regina? That's an extra 3200 miles of travel versus shipping it from Vancouver to Regina directly. And it would have gone through Regina to get from Vancouver to Toronto, too. [Razz]
