Well, a little late for this post, but the Novi Town Center 8, in Novi, MI closed Sept 30th and was just recently demolished to make way for a Walmart.
This theatre was a General Cinema build in 1988, and was later operated by Goodrich Quality Theaters and Phoenix/BIG Cinemas.
Also, the former Showcase Cinemas Westland (8 Screen) in Westland, MI, was just demolished to make room for a new 16 screen theatre operated by MJR at the same location.
The Quo Vadis Theatre also in Westland as well as Showcase Cinemas Dearborn both once operated by National Amusements before closing were torn down and are now vacant lots.

Guzzo cancels their Quebec City project
also Galeries de la Capitale cinemas closed

The Cinemas Guzzo, well established in the greater Montreal area, however, have long ogled the Quebec City region to expand, admits the founder's son Angelo Guzzo. "We had already looked to put a film on the Place Ste-Foy, had also watched a film at Place Laurier, and also the side of Beauport. There were two or three sites we looked. "
Guzzo cinemas have also been implicated in recent years in the proposed revival of the defunct cinema Place Quebec, who disappeared in the early 90's. The Cinemas Cine Entreprise Monday indicated that their decision to close its six rooms Galeries de la Capitale in Quebec City on August 18. In early April, the film Charest had planned his last films, partly because of the nature of aging facilities and equipment. Since then, several local players are trying to revive the idea of a cinema in the Saint-Roch. No promoter, however, has officially announced the project in the area.
