The Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival has been going on for the past week and ends this Sunday. While some screenings have been held at Muvico's Baywalk, most were held at Tampa Theatre, which as the pics on CinemaTour show, is gorgeous.

Managed to see Almost Infamous, the Kinsey Sicks documentary, and might make it down to see Another Gay Sequel Saturday. Hopefully I'll get some pictures of the facility.

Hmmmm cannot say as I've ever found a co-worker attractive nor have any of them been gay to my knowledge. I do have an associate who assists me with my theaters who is gay and I have had a king sized crush on him since the first time we met years ago. He does not seem too interested in me although I have dropped many hints. I would never be able to directly approach him about my feelings as I am morbidly shy. Of course, like every respectable projectionist, I have had my share of "dates" in the booth although I don't have much time for him when I have to pay attention to the presentation quality and make my changeover every 15-20 minutes.
I did have one guy in his early 30s (former projectionist himself) ask for a tour of the booth at one of my theaters. More flirting than technical information was exchanged however I had another hour of maintenance and repairs that he did not want to wait out and I'm really not into random hookups anyway.
Although I am now single and have been since May, I put every boyfriend I have to work at my theaters. After all, I am planning on staying in this business until the Lord takes me so whichever lucky guy finally gets me for life better know and like the business. Every boyfriend I have taken into the booth has been amazed by the whole process. However, one ex I had was a cocky SOB and told me what an easy job I had and how he would have no problem doing it, to which I asked if he would like to try his hand at threading up and making a changeover. He got slightly pale and nervously declined.

I am out at work, family,friends...everywhere. Have been since I was 15 and everyone is wonderful and supportive. The funny thing is when I am filling in at another theater or we get a new staff member who meets me for the first time; although my voice is quite deep, I look and dress "twink-ish" and have many other "gay" characteristics so when they see how well I run a booth and how hard I work, their jaws usually drop.

Robert, "Gays Gone Wild" is dirty and plain wrong but so fun and hilarious at the same time. Went to see it at the Chez Artiste in Denver with a couple friends and we adored it. It's quite a limited release to go see it as soon as you can! I was so glad it came to Denver...the Chez Artiste was the only place in the state playing it. Sadly the showing I saw was digital. Was great anyway.

My partner and I work for the same company. Her location is currently closed for renovations, so she's working at one of mine (technically a no-no) while I spend more time at another location.
