CINEMECANNICA PAYOUT, ANOTHER broken POT shaft.
I know my pics suck, I promise to get a better camera, but Xmas maxed me out, then I couldn't help myself and bought a 'Digital Terrestial Receiver' or STB. Not as impressive I thought I would be. Gezz even have to wait for FOX to ugrade before Digital works on cable.
The STB is the thing with the green LEDS above the radio. (Don't why I am talking about the STB, maybe I like it more than I think I do)

ANYWAY, back to the point..!! We are out of IDLE rollers on the platter until 'store' opens up again. (Towards end af January, even so we are not allowed to spend - but this is a must - so four have be odered) At the moment ONE plate is running with a flat spotted roller. Someone who should know better payed out on this plate, and the movie Treasure Planet was thrown, (due to the plate vibrating like crazy)and wrapped around the payout. In her rush to untangle the mess, YET another POT was snapped off.
I must admit she was paying out of the top of this 5-Tier, kind of hard to see up that high I guess, but thats what we have milk crates for.

I know it's hard to see the POT in the pics, but Im thinking could it not be possible for a Jeweller or Watch maker to solder/Braze/ or drill and pin the arm back on?? Thats got to be cheaper than paying $600 for a new pot.

Has anyone tried to repair these POTS? I have three dead ones now, which adds up to around $1500 to replace! Ouch.
Makes me not worried rushing in emergencies with Speco payouts, all your looking at is $30 for a busted payout arm.
Bill.
