This has been one of my favorite threads because you never know what sort of interesting pictures will pop up here...then a few comments back and forth...and then on to something else. Like I would not have started a thread about (horizontal) MTE dubbers because I know it's simply how they are built. It's silly and others might find it amusing. Thus, perfect for this thread. I'm glad you finally talked Brad across to the random pix. I agree with how this was going, and is now going to keep going. Thanks Brad. Gezz, I even posted pictures of my car, house, lame projector without knowing it was 1 picture only test. The reason I did that was because, I liked the other pictures, and heck it gives others something to LOOK at, rather than endless text. (I'm just glad I didn't get 'yelled' at for the crap quailtity of my pics!) The only lame projector is one with a video input! All three companies I work for would go off their nut if sent internal pictures of their cinemas. Wed Jan 29th we are running a surf festival, on video. (Last year I could not get the A/V on Panastereo going, this year, I'll be..well NOT there and all phones turned off!) Sun Feb 9th ILM are going to run the latest HD video projection system for a few studios with Q&A between running parts of Star Wars 2 on video then on film (to compare I guess) When Star Wars 2 first was coming out there was talk that we would be screening it in video, perhaps this is to show we should have. I really don't know. I just turn off when it comes to video projection in cinemas. This stuff scares me. Film= Bio/mgr = Bill has job Video=mgr = manager hits PLAY = Bill has NO job I know its not as simple as that, but it still scares me. Bill. Will post more about the ILM thing. I should have got the full details in the first place. I've decided I'll go along and see how it all works. Got any questions I can hit these FOX/ILM people with to screw them up?? Write me up a list of MEGA PIXELS, LUMINACE, FOCUS, screen size, that sort of stuff. Anything. Remember I know NOTHING about video projection. I don't know why some production houses insist on winding it that way.. Not sure about upright Moviolas anymore.
