Author Topic: More junk for sale on Ebay Thomas Procyk Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1842 From: Royal Palm Beach, FL, USA Registered: Feb 2002 posted 12-14-2002 12:23 AM                     Was bored, so I went to browse e-bay: Someone is selling Reel 1 to Alien Resurrection. Apparently, he also has more reel 1's lying around... Also note that it's listed in the "Consumer Electronics: Portable Audio/Video" category. And another odd lot, 70 posters and 43 REELS of some film from 1999 called "Unconditional Love". Seller says these are "the original rolls used to shoot the movie." Looks like b/w Estar stock?? (thought they only use acetate in the cameras to "shoot the movie" with) Take a look. This one takes the cake! This guy bought a DTS Wall Plaque for $66.99!!!! I wrote him a nice little e-mail explaining that he could have just bought it from the DTS Online Store for $35. The theater used very old projectors that required the condition of the movies to be at their best. This meant that the projectionist had to hand inspect every inch of the movie and remove frames that had anything on them that would damage the old projectors. Mostly, tape." yeah, be sure to cut out ALL frames with tape on them before you run a movie on an old projector. I used to do that with Michael Bolton CD's I got from the radio station I worked at! Steven: Duh! You're right, that's exactly what will happen -- someone will put those in their DVD player expecting to see the movie! (I was being WAY too logical thinking CD player! RARE! Collector's Item! Jurrasic Park DTS discs: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2209761574&category=153 "Jurrasic Park was the first DTS 6 channel 35mm movie in 1993. These were made to play with a 35mm print in a theater, for sale here is not only the A & B set but also a single play STEREO disc for theaters not able to handle 6 channel sound. so this auction is for all three discs.
