Check out the Century 10 pics posted. Note the "X-Treme" screen!!!!!!! Yes, the X-Treme marketing rears its ugly head again. It's not a big screen, not a giant screen, but an X-TREME screen! Yes, complete with exclamation point which is mounted on the outside of the building. The exclamation point helps customers know that Centruy is serious when they are talking about their X-Treme screen. Here's what I want to know: Do midgets come out and bash your knees in before the movie starts? If not, then it simply is not extreme. Does someone on a BMX come out doing multiple backflips land on his head and start spinning around only to launch back up into the air doing crazy flips yet again? Lack of programming? Do they show 35mm on the same size screen? Is the 35mm image bright enough on that size screen? What's available in 8/70, anyway? Imax Corporation films are not released in 8/70, but most other large format distributors have product available in that format. They could run large format all the time if they chose to, but most commercial exhibitors don't know how to run theaters with educational product. I never bothered to look out the window or step into the auditorium to see what the image looked like.  |  IP: Logged
