I'm a fan of Century (for reliability and ease of maintenance) and Kinoton (for picture quality), but the new model looks at least somewhat interesting. Do they offer a non-turret model (or a 3-lens or 4-lens turret) for venues which deal with more than two formats? Agreed with the comments on the changeover handle. Ideally it should be positioned so that it can be manually operated from either side of the projector for use in a two-machine installation (so that it can be opened or closed manually in the event of failure while one is standing between machines). Also, it looks like it might be difficult to replace the coil if/when it burns out. The truth is, I like Opera for the many clever functions it has. But it crashes far more often than IE. And the Bookmarks fold-down menu doesn`t work anymore. If you like to use file sharing software, it tends to kill the bookmark list. You can cache images, just don't set it to cache documents. If your browser is cacheing, you will still see the botched page. Just be happy I'm not using VI or this whole site would be one mess of broken links!  |  IP: Logged Daryl C. W.
