He did it first with two fat men, so I was pretty confident that we could pull it off. Thank you to Pat Moore from Strong for having the guts to let us try it on his platter. I'm guessing they would have to have changed the name of the company if the platter had failed. Thank you Brad Miller for all the shots of my big fat ass! Note: I was either still drunk or had the biggest hangover that morning. I bailed before Brad could drag me to every platter manufacture in the building. But I can hardly belive that any, even the smallest person could stand on a platter! I will have to see it sooner or later. Are there going to be pictures from the film-tech gathering? I only took one single picture there: For those of you who could not go, this is what Las Vegas looks like: Since I posted a number of pictures recently, I have received many requests if my pictures can be bought. It looks like you have shot that picture of Ian intending to use it as a dart board after paintnig a ring of red circles! Don't forget about composition when you shoot. Waaaaaaaaaay too much headroom. It's photography 101. As of this time, there were five of them. I was very impressed with the quality of videos Brad provided, and I was equally impressed with the response of the manufacturers that were interviewed. Kudos to all those manufactureres I have seen so far. To Christie, Dolby, Kelmar, Kineton, Panastereo and Strong International, (for Pat Moore allowing Ian to stand on their platter), my hat is off in respect to those companies. They are trying to make the best possible equipment for our industry. Please gentlemen, continue to accept the suggestions of us slobs that are trying to put on a good show. Your improvements are really what we like to see. So far, all of the above companies I mentioned....I would welcome your new equipment in any of the booths I run or have to maintain. Good show! Manufacturers like you and your representatives that truly believe in your product and are willing to take suggestions from us is what this whole thing is about. Many of us want to put on a good show, and you guys are helping us do just that with your innovations and improvements. I sincerely thank you for your efforts and professionalism. Today I changed to AOL Broadband, and was able to download all the latest six videos in Large Quicktime. It was great to hear the voice belonging to a well known picture on Film-Tech. I liked the shot of John Pytlak turning the Kinoton platter. I had to download the free Quicktime program to view. Are there better versions you can purchase to increase quality worth considering?
