I suppose people could wind them RP39-style head-out emulsion-in, but I don't think many people practice that. But for most people, saying "tail-out" means "emulsion-in" and "head-out" means "emulsion-out." Anyway, how did you finance it and is this part of your home? All financing came from my tech work. Sales of our products (eg: FilmGuard) go exclusively to the bandwidth bill of this website. Bear in mind I have been collecting piece by piece for many years. I didn't just go out and buy it all at once. I went through my share of starting out modestly and upgraded as I could. Before it's all over, I expect to upgrade the DLP, the Century projectors to Kinoton and the Strong lamphouses to Christie. Yes it is built into the side of my house. I have a rental next week actually from a local filmmaker who is going to do his 5.1 sound mix in there next week. Occasionally I have studio people out to check over some film repair work that I do for them in my spare time too, but no "big" people yet. Beautiful! I still think it was neat the way Josh had to climb up on the step stool to thread all those penthouses when we were there. Having a five-tier platter stack in each booth is an excellent idea for providing flexibility of programming, as well as back-up capacity in case of breakdown. This shows the management will spare no expense for reliability and ability to program for many audience preferences. Booth visibility enabling audiences to experience the technical "magic" is an interesting concept I have only experienced in IMAX theatres. CRT monitoring of each booth is another expense that pays off in the long run with continuous good service. Thanks for sharing. Gerard  |  IP: Logged
