Snow in Dallas? What a bummer! I'm gonna re-think moving there. While the 80's sounds good in Hawaii, I'm sure the humidity is right up there as well! YUK! Josh, nobody has any empathy for you. Ya really gotta quit yur bitchin' about the cold wx and come to God's country! I would have said Dallas, but Chris has nixed that with the snow forecast! BTW: The present temp here in Hollywood is 72 and there are canyons really close by me to ride in BTW2: Marilyn called me today from Acapulco, Mexico and said she will be listening to your show tonight. She told me she wants to request a couple of tunes for Brad and Adam. It can take almost an entire day to drive completly around the big island of Hawaii. Driving around my island (Oahu) can take about six to seven hours if you take your time and make lots of stops. I actually have the best of two worlds. I live on an island where it is nice all year long and if I want to drive and keep driving, I just get on an 777 jet and visit my friend in Indiana and together take nice long driving trips . Ralph together with his wife and I have driven many times to upstate New York and we have made many stops along the way. One of the best side trip we took was to Gettysburg where we spent about six hours touring the battleground, The only thing we do not have in Hawaii is the season change. My favorite time of the year is fall when the color of the leaves change in the northern part of the country and I miss it very much. I also love winter. Snowboarders are STILL cool!) I have been enlightened as to the merits of freezing one's ass off and as to why those "up there" in the north prefer to sleep with the dryer Snuggles bear... So, the picture below is a distinct possibility. It may not be this particular machine, but whatever I get will get good mileage. I wish I had my old Cushman Eagle back again. On a trip to Texas with Josh some time ago, Josh saw an actual Cushman Eagle. He didn't appear to be particulary impressed with it, but one thing at my age...I want something that is designed to get from point "A" to point "B" without spending an arm and a leg to keep the damned thing running. Cushman met that criteria. I am not going to invest in a Harley Hog. I had enough of them. Maybe a nice Honda road bike is what I have in mind. The dude that owns this POS wants too much money for it. This thing is for kids....it goes too damned fast!! I am a gramps that likes to drive 25mph in a 75mph zone. (J/K). Phil, seems as though I rode that Cushman when I was 18 in temperatures of -10 belos zero in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Sure, I froze my butt off, but that's the way of life in the midwest just like Josh said. If that Cushman Eagle started up, I drove it....no matter what temperature it was, or if it rained or snowed. I was even stupid enough to carry a 4 foot by 8 foot sheet of zinc 7 miles to my best high school friend's house in the country on a windy day. We used it to make rocket fuel for our rockets during the rocket craze. Zync and Sulphur made a good fuel....we ignited it with a power transformer from an old junk TV set.  |  IP: Logged
