Hmmm ... I've never been approached by people wanting to form a band and play my songs. Maybe it's 'cause I'm a guy. Maybe it's 'cause my songs aren't good. Maybe I'd rather not know the real reason. [Big Grin]

Good luck with that, Jen! [thumbsup]

Thanks for the good luck wishes, I'll need them. I will definitely try to take advantage of this band thing. Not everyday that I'll see HOT skater boys playing my songs. [Big Grin] Its already kind of stressful getting the music together.

Brian, everyone is just jealous. That's why no one has approached you and wanted to start a band. You're too good for them. [thumbsup]

Yeah, I think this is really annoying. That "I", (myself) keep posting mp3s here. But here is why I posted this particular one. Now that I have this band thing going, I'll let you all listen to how amazingly horrible I sound. [Smile]

Well, if it would make it less annoying, I could start posting some mp3's, too. In fact, I will. And what better timing ...

Here is a sampler, a medley of track clips from my new album, which I just finished mastering last night. The trip to Kinko's is tomorrow (it's good to have friends on the "inside") and the discs will be pressed to order (burned, anyway). But feel free to drop $10 to my PayPal account, anyway, if you want one as soon as I get a shipping address.

Anyway, Jen, there's nothing so horrible that any healthy dose of practice-practice-practice wouldn't cure. Compared to my early, first attempts at putting my "music" on tape (which nobody will ever hear again!), you guys sound just fine! [Razz] Keep playing, singing, and recording; and as often as you can. For me, it's become an obsession. (I mean, really, this is my sixth full-length album of original stuff I'm shamelessly promoting here.) I'd love to hear what YOU are producing in 10 years (which is how long I've been "honing" with no real formal training).

I wish I could practice more. But lately my drummer has been sick or he's either working or at school. And I left my guitar at his house so I'm left with nothing to do...

Interesting sampler you have there. [Cool]

Well, things are getting better... I was offered to play as an opening act for a local singer/songwriter by the name of Perry Allen in the Phoenix area. The gigs will be in the beginning of Janurary. I'm not sure if I'll be flying solo or if my drummer is going to be accompanying me. It is really dependent on if he can play to my songs by then. Practice, practice, practice...

I guess for those of you who will be in the area at that time can see me play... I'm actually getting nervous about it. The shows will be in small venues, which is nice. Considering I would probably have a panic attack if it was an actual concert. I am very anti-social [Frown] .

Congrats! [beer] Wish I could come. Maybe someone can shoot some video clips?

Yay for anti-social. Let's face it: People suck! [Wink] And not in the good way. [Eek!]

As long as you abide the restraining order that keeps you at least 50 yards away...

Dang it, you're drawing attention to me... Stop it.
