I saw that CNN bit live and thought that wx guy was right on target. That rude bitch keep interupting while he was making a really good presentation of the facts.

Perhaps she gets paid per word?

It looked to me like something was going on off the screen: she decided that she had a score to settle (justified or otherwise), and he was grimly determined not to give her the satisfaction.

I'll leave the double entendre to Phil... [evil]

I never watch Communist News Network, so I missed out on the blowup. Looked like quite the uncomfortable moment. [thumbsup]

He just got a little distracted by that red blouse the presenter was wearing; that's all.

...but just in case CNN is too moderate for Wolff's tastes, here's a real Communist news network...

I can't be BANNED because you can not tell who I voted for President based on my comments. Brad sez we can say anything we want, just as long as he can't tell which party we tend to vote for by our comments. Read the FAQ!

I have to get serious here. I'm watching MS-NBC right now (Olbermann's show...a very good show, BTW). THey are showing footage from a helicopter trip over the damage in Mississippi. I'm seeing highways totally destroyed, casino boats lifted out of the water and deposited on hotels. I have never seen damage like this. Wow...Highway 90 is totally knocked off of its moorings...it is just gone.

New Orleans will take years to recover. Only the roofs of houses are visible. There have been suicides in the SuperDome. I can't imagine being in there with no air conditioning. And, the weather forecast tomorrow is for mid-90's! The smell must be horrific.

I'm a big weather geek, and I probably over follow these things. There has been a strange depression around Florida for a couple of weeks. It would come and go without warning. Then, last week it flared up and shot across Florida (With all of the Gulf Coast stuff, we haven't heard much of Florida).

I'm sitting under the remains of the hurricane right now. It's just about moved through. We've had about 2" of rain in the past 6 hours...certainly not a problem as our ground is dry. Could have been much worse here, but it shot through much faster than expected. Our original estimate was 7".

Now, New Orleans is being evacuated. I have no idea how they'll get all those people out of there with no electricity, water, or much else.

We're going to be dealing with this for a long time. My heart goes out to all the people there, and I wish only the best for Film-Tech'ers caught in this mess.

Hmmm... perhaps now they are regretting building New Orleans below sea level.
