I am 100% out on any appendicitis whether the appendix bursts or not. One of my high school friends, a fellow named Paul Hermann, had an acute onset of appendicitis while we were all hanging out on a Friday night in old Quantico. Paul suddenly just dropped to the sidewalk crying in agony. It really scared the hell out of us. Very unpleasant. His appendix hadn't burst yet, but the doctors said it was very plump and ready to pop. Posts: 10973 From: Lawton, OK, USA Registered: Apr 2001 posted 10-22-2009 10:44 PM                     I had some unexpected "fun" taking photos of a finished neon sign destined to be installed in the front window of a local business. After setting up my tripod and camera for a front on shot of the sign, I went into the camera's menu to set the shutter on a 2 second timer. I didn't have a remote shutter release handy (but will have a new one in a few days). Here's the unexpected thing: once I selected that 2 second button my camera immediately started taking pictures. Over and over and over again. I powered off the camera and turned it on again. It resumed taking multiple photos. WTF!? I powered down the camera and took it off the tripod. I walked away from the neon sign and turned on the camera again to see if I could figure out this mess. This time the camera acted normally. Hmm. I walked back over to the sign and pointed the camera at the red neon. It started firing shots again. Bingo. I guess when I set that 2 second timer function the camera enabled any kind of infrared light to automatically trip the shutter. When I put the camera back into "single shot" mode it behaved normally. However, I was stuck with having to be very careful in pressing the button to keep from shaking up the shots. Still, I came away with some decent ones. The top part is a very reduced view of the whole 5616 X 3744 image. The lower part is a 550 pixel wide extraction of the full sized image. The 5X and 10X zoom functions in Live View are very handy at manually tweaking the focus.  |  IP: Logged
